You have recently started your own software design company. You discover that your local DMV is looking to build a system that will allow receptionists to check customers in quickly. They would like for the system to allow customers to self-check-in during busy times, but have receptionists check customers in the rest of the time. Write a paper in which you: Suggest the prototyping technique you would use for this system and support your rationale. Create a management plan containing eight to ten (8-10) stages for proper design of such a system. Explain each stage of the management plan and justify your rationale. Estimate the length of time it will take to complete each stage of the management plan. Compare and contrast the self-check-in interface with the interface a receptionist would use. Use Microsoft Visio or an open source alternative, Dia, to create a total of two (2) graphical representations of your proposed interfaces, one (1) for the self-check-in and one (1) for the receptionist. Note: The graphically depicted solution is not included in the required page length. Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources. Project Plan and System Design Documentation

Will provide approved project proposal. This will be a single paper but two main parts, which will need to be clearly separated. Project Plan: The project plan will be drafted early in the course but further refined as the system design is developed. This way, the work breakdown structure and tasks identified in the design in need of development are added to the project plan. A. Work Breakdown Structure: Clearly communicate a logical work breakdown structure for stakeholders to ensure successful completion of the project. Identify all tasks and artifacts to be developed. B. Timeline: Illustrate the overall project timeline, identifying start and finish dates, major milestones, and any other relevant data points during the design and implementation of the project/solution. (Implementation will not happen at this time.) C. Dependencies: Clearly communicate any dependencies between tasks or resources for ensuring successful communication of needs. D. Use of Tools: Professionally document project plan using Microsoft Project or Excel. II. System Design Document: Although the project will be individually developed, the project design should contain enough detail to support another skilled information technology practitioner in implementing the solution. Determine a reasonable scope for the project so that it can be implemented within the timeframe eight weeks. The following sections should be included: A. Introduction: Articulate the overall purpose and scope of the system design in terms of addressing the problem or challenges identified in the proposal. B. Requirements: Determine all relevant and necessary system requirements based on analysis of the problem faced. The requirements should be written as “system shall” statements that are testable and include functional, design, security, safety, and performance requirements. C. Constraints: Determine the constraints of the system design and any assumptions made in terms of the problem being solved. D. Resources: Identify necessary resources—hardware, software, servers, virtual desktop resources, and so on—that are required to complete the project, based on analysis of the problem being solved. E. System Overview: Describe the overall design in terms of the integration of tools and technology for successfully constructing your solution. In this section, describe the high-level design and architecture, making sure that details are congruent with the type of project being worked on. For example, use of case and class diagrams would need to be included if the project focused on a software application, website wireframe, screen mock-ups for a web application, and so on. F. Documented Detailed Design: The detailed design should illustrate and annotate all important details to be developed of the system and its components, interfaces, subsystems, and more. It further breaks down the high-level design into small enough chunks to be properly implemented. The detailed design should align with the work breakdown structure in the product plan. The detailed design should inform the tasks identified and included in the project plan.

Design a fully differential operational amplifier meeting the following specifications. And also complete the IC layout of the opamp that passes DRC and LVS. Everything is to be done in the Cadence environment using the TSMC 0.18um setup. Use an ideal power supply (1.8±0.1V), an ideal common-mode voltage reference of your choosing (fixed for all cases), and an ideal reference current source to ground (fixed for all cases). If you use resistors, the nominal value must be less than or equal to 25kW. Finally, you are not allowed to use RHP zero cancellation in this project. Simulations are to be completed for three process corners: TT (with temp=27ºC & VDD=1.8V), SS (with temp=85ºC & VDD=1.7V), and FF (with temp=-40ºC & VDD=1.9V).

Specifications (for all three cases): Power supply VDD=1.8V, 1.7V, 1.9V (TT, SS, FF) Load at each output Cload=3pF (to be affected by TT, SS, FF) Loop gain > 70 dB Loop UGBW > 70 MHz Loop Phase Margin > 60° CMFB Phase Margin > 60° CM accuracy (with no differential signal) < ±0.05V Output swing (6dB/50% compression) > 1V peak-to-peak differential Power consumption (including bias) < 9 mW Differential Loop characteristics are to be obtained with 1pF input and feedback capacitors (fixed 1pF value for all cases). Use 1GW resistors as needed for simulation purposes. Eliminate the 1pF input/feedback capacitors when doing CMFB evaluation. About a 2/3 of your project grade will depend on this design and simulation portion. The second part of the project is IC layout. Grading depends on whether you pass LVS and DRC, and the quality of your layout (ask yourself if the layout “looks” good). About a 1/3 of project grading will depend on this layout portion.

Informatics nurses (INs) and informatics nurse specialists (INSs) apply informatics knowledge and skills in the areas of a system development life cycle (SDLC). Graduate-level INSs are particularly well prepared for planning the process for an SDLC. They have the knowledge, skills, and competencies to effectively assume the role of project manager by facilitating interprofessional communication, managing change, and coordinating the process of implementation. Whether the project is small (e.g., departmental) or very large (e.g., system-wide), INSs are central to the success of a health information system project.

Careful planning is involved using project management techniques, such as a task/timeline for all phases of an SDLC using a Gantt chart format. Scenario: You recently earned your master’s degree in nursing informatics and have been hired as an informatics nurse specialist at a midsize rural hospital. Diabetes and high blood pressure are growing public health problems in underserved populations living in excess of 45 minutes from the hospital. Much of the population does not have access to the internet. In an effort to improve access to healthcare services and increase patient accountability in patient-physician interactions, your organization is considering the integration of a telehealth program. Your hospital currently has a modern EHR in place that allows integration across ambulatory care offices associated with the organization. As the team lead, you have been asked to identify a telehealth system that addresses the needs of your community and is compatible with your hospital’s current system. You must deliver a Gantt chart to your hospital executive leadership that arranges all the major subtasks in each of the five major phases of your SDLC (i.e., planning, analysis, design/development, implementation, and evaluation). You must complete your Gantt chart using the Microsoft Visio software or an equivalent drawing tool.

Instructions for using Microsoft Visio are provided in the virtual lab within your course. (See the “Gantt Chart in Microsoft Visio Training” web link for details.)

If you are using a different diagramming tool, you will need to find and use instructions for the tool you select. You will also present your approach to planning the SDLC to your hospital executive leadership. A. Create a Gantt chart outlining the full SDLC of the integration of your hospital’s new telehealth system that includes each of the following: • five phases of an SDLC • five major sub-tasks within each phase of the SDLC • specific start dates, finish dates, and task durations for each subtask • designated resource name • task dependencies indicated with arrows • one milestone event in each phase of an SDLC.

Preparation: Using “10 Designers on 10 Iconic Dieter Rams Designs,” By Heather Corcoran, Sept. 30, 2014 – available as a website link on Canvas – find one iconic Rams’ object to use to respond to the following question. This should have been done before class. Question: Using one Dieter Rams object argue how the rules associated with good design relate to the human factor using one of the articles we read previously in relationship to the Marcus article, “Disavowing Craft at the Bauhaus,” which you read for today. Methods/ Advice: The trick is to have a clear thesis and to argue using your thesis as a method to produce a discussion between two texts that may present opposing or similar views. For example, it would be very easy to argue using the Super Normal text as your other source to focus on the role of the user or the role of intuition or how using as little design as possible both defines good design and prioritizes the user. Whatever your thesis is, you must argue using the object you have chosen to ground evidence. Form: 500 words or one-page maximum. There must be a clear thesis. Paragraphs must be used. While OCADU has a policy that negates marking for grammar or spelling, if what is submitted is illogical or illegible, it will be marked as such. Use paragraphs, sentences and punctuation and follow an outline. Another book you might need to find online is Super Normal: Sensations of the Ordinary (Fukasawa & Morrison, 2007)
